Dr. Richard LiebermanDr. Richard Lieberman is the founder and medical director of Urgent Care Santa Fe. He is Board Certified in both Emergency Medicine and Family Practice.

Dr. Lieberman was a Family Physician for the United States Public Health Service, division of Indian Health. He was the Medical Director of Emergency Services at St. Vincent Hospital, in Santa Fe. He was a full time Emergency Doctor for over 20 years and served a term as the hospital Chief of Staff.

He is dedicated to bringing ambulatory medicine to a new level, working to ensure that people have prompt and convenient access to a physician, without a lot of bureaucracy.

He enjoys family life.  His wife, Carol is a native of Northern New Mexico. They enjoy outdoor activities, and Dr. Lieberman is proud to serve as the Medical Director for the Santa Fe Ski Patrol. If you are visiting the ski area, take a run on "Dr. Rich", an expert trail named in his honor.

Deborah SanchezGonzalo Corona was born in Baja, California, and studied in San Diego, Guadalajara (Mexico), and Puerto Rico. He was an assistant professor of Neuropharmacology at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He studied Internal Medicine, Surgery, and he completed a residency in Pediatrics. He worked for almost 10 years in Emergency Medicine for the Mexican Red Cross, and he was a specialist in Pediatric Diabetes in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Dr. Stephen Corriz is a homegrown doctor, born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. He received his B.A. from New Mexico State, and then attended the University of Medicine of New Jersey. He completed his residency at Frankfort/Jefferson Hospital System in Philadelphia, and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, and Board Prepared in Internal Medicine. He served as Medical Director for the Laguna/Acoma Emergency Medical Services when he was an officer in the Indian Health Service. He enjoys hiking, fishing, cycling, and painting. He is one of our bilingual staff.

Dr. Grant Gerner is a long time New Mexico resident, and has worked in a variety of settings requiring resourcefulness and dedication.  He was the medical director of Las Clinicas del Norte; he was a doctor for the Navajo in Ramah, and Cuba, New Mexico;  he spent two years in Reserve, NM, as the only doctor in Catron County.

He has enjoyed designing and refurbishing a 100 year old adobe, and he has learned several difficult trades, such as cabinetry, and diamond trowel plastering.   He is an avid endurance athlete and has enjoyed a four year reign as the winner of the Santa Fe Quintathlon. Despite his penchant for endurance sports, he likes to play golf.

April Grisetti-NailApril Grisetti is a nationally certified physician's assistant.  Prior to working in our Urgent Care division, she managed the Hepatitis C program at the health center of Espanola,  NM.  She is also an Emergency Medical Technician, and is the only PA employed by the Santa Fe Ski Patrol.  She is a sportswoman,  and is certified in Advanced Wilderness Life Support,  and she is a fellowship candidate for the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.  She sees patients by appointment at a private internal medicine practice in Santa Fe.

 

Dr. Robert McClees is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and the Family Medicine Residency at the University of New Mexico.  He comes from a military family, and grew up in Europe and Asia.  He came to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to attend St. John’s College, and he has decided to settle in Northern New Mexico.

He met Dr. Lieberman while working with the Santa Fe Ski Patrol.  They are now both medical directors for the Patrol.

Dr. McClees enjoys kayaking, skiing, and other outdoor activities.

Dr. Barbara Medlin grew up in Los Alamos, and attended Los Alamos High School.  She received her MD degree from the University of New Mexico, and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Fort Collins, Colorado.

She has been a ship’s doctor for Holland America, and she spent 6 years as a Family Doctor in Saipan.

She enjoys outdoor life with her husband, and 3 children.

 

 

Eric PlatzDr. Eric Platz is a board certified Emergency Physician with extensive experience in acute care medicine, trauma, and Emergency Department management. He is a graduate of University of Texas, Medical Branch, Galveston, and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at University of California in Fresno.

His interests include choral singing, woodworking, and cooking. He is happily married for 40 years, and has 2 grown children. He is bilingual, though he retains a strong hint of a Texas accent.

 

 

Dr. Mark ReiningaDr. Mark Reininga is a board certified Family Physician, who currently spends most of his time at the Santa Fe Community Guidance Center. At SFCGC he cares for the medical needs of the indigent mentally ill, and is an expert in medical detox.

Mark spent several years in Nigeria, West Africa, when his father was a teacher. Mark graduated from Stanford University, and was a Navy Medic with the Marine Corps, before he went to medical school at George Washington University. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He was in the National Health Service Corp, and served on the Oneida Indian Reservation, and worked at a clinic for migrant farm workers in Freemont, Ohio.

He is the father of 5 children.

Deborah SanchezDr. Deborah Sanchez a graduate of the northern New Mexico Family Practice Residency program of the University of New Mexico. Originally from Albuquerque, she is an avid sportswoman, and athlete. She is especially interested in acute care medicine, and sports medicine. She is bilingual, and believes strongly in our mission of improving access to good health care.  She is the Medical Director of Valley First Care, in Espanola.

 

Alice Sisneros is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, who grew up in Northern New Mexico, and has been professionally involved in Emergency Medicine for over 25 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and a second one in Public Administration.

Alice SisnerosAlice was Director of Emergency Services at St. Vincent Hospital, and served concurrently with Dr. Lieberman, when he was the Emergency Department Medical Director. She served a term as Trauma Coordinator for the hospital, started the citywide Heart Saver program, and initiated the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program (S.A.N.E.), which provides medical care to survivors of sexual assault.

Alice and her husband Leroy have been married for over 20 years, and are now proud to have their first grandchild. When not at Urgent Care Santa Fe, Alice is busy in her private office seeing patients by appointment.

 

Zach StengleZach Stengle is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and the American University of the Caribbean.  He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico/ La Familia Residency in Santa Fe.  He spent three years at the Community Health Centers in Las Vegas,  New Mexico.   His interests include Family Medicine and Rural Health Care. 

He is married, and recently celebrated the birth of his first child.

 

 

Alice SisnerosPaul Umberger is a certified Nurse Practitioner, who received his degree in from Boston College.  He also holds a Master of Arts and Divinity.  He moved from Boston to Albuquerque, and became a faculty member at the University of New Mexico.  He worked on the Internal Medicine staff at the University, and he had extensive experience in Emergency Medicine at Lovelace, and Presbyterian Hospital. 

He is married to a battalion chief for the Santa Fe Fire Department.  He has grown children.  His interests are many, and include disaster medicine and preparation.
